Wilesco D430 - Steam Locomobile
The loco-mobile was used in farming for threshing and plowing at the turn of the century. It was pulled by horses or could be driven by it’s own steam power. This fully developed steam model has good technical detail, and an attractive finish in black and brass.Boiler, flywheel, piston and wheels are also brass. This engine has a partitioned smoke chamber at the front for the condensation and to allow the exhaust steam to escape through the chimney, which is hinged in the middle. The sight glass acts as a water gauge. Reversible double-acting brass cylinder with two flywheels (3´´D) which can be operated in forward and reverse. Equipped with pressure gauge, spring loaded safety valve, whistle with chain, artificial governor (just for show), steam regulator valve, steam jet oil lubricator, water drain tap, black varnished boiler house with gangways and ladder. The loco-mobile is driven by a ladder chain to a gear wheel and socket on the flywheel.Operates for approx. 15 minutes per fueling. This superb model also makes an attractive showpiece for any cupboard, glass-case, desk or corporate board room.
Measures 11"L x 7 1/2"W x 8"H, weighs 6 1/2 lbs.
